The Cork Kiosk is a mobile catering unit that was developed for a gourmet french fries startup. The unusual brief combined the need for a nomadic and iconic retail device that could occupy a multitude of public spaces. It also had to provide food preparation facilities as well as it had to comply with road circulation standards. Inspired by the main ingredient, the potato, we designed a faceted volume sliced into angular shapes. The sustainable aspect was a priority for the project with the cladding solution being the use of cork panels, an entirely natural and renewable material.
