Fresnel pavilion is a radiant beacon on Regent’s Canal. Its prismatic body is clad in metallized dual-sided space blankets evoking the concentric series of overlapping rings that compose a fresnel lens.
The radial succession of triangular prisms around a core structural frame generates a distinctive and signaling presence on Hoxton docks. The observer is incited by the mutating visual perception of the resulting multifaceted organism which responds to the multiplicity of surrounding ground levels and viewpoints. Its nocturnal existence resembles that of a lighthouse.
